David Pugh, CRTP
Dave has been preparing income taxes in Ventura since 1980 and is a California Registered Tax Preparer. He has been doing business at this current location since 1990. Pugh and Associates is family-run that includes Dave’s wife, Elmerina, and his two daughters Tracy and Tricia.
Mr. Pugh currently serves on the Board of the California Tax Education Council (CTEC) a state agency that regulates the education requirements for tax preparers in CA. He has served in this voluntary position since 1999 and is currently Treasurer. Dave has also served on the Board of Directors of the Ventura Community College Foundation from 1984 to the present.
Dave’s sense of humor and winning personality helps make the filing of your tax returns a less painful process.
Elmerina Pugh, EA
Elmerina is an Enrolled Agent (EA) who has been preparing tax returns at this family-run business since 1990. Mrs. Pugh’s professional affiliations include memberships in the National Society of Enrolled Agents, the California Society of Enrolled Agents and the Channel Island Chapter of Enrolled Agents.
Elmerina strives to provide her clients with the very best professional service possible with a personal touch.
Tracy Carlton, CRTP
Tracy's tax preparation career began with Tax Year 2000. However, as Dave and Elmerina's daughter, she has been involved in the family business since 1983 "behind the scenes."
Tracy's education include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Anthropology and a minor in History from University of California at San Diego, and two years of legal studies at the Southern California Institute of Law.
Tricia Pugh
Tricia is the most awesome "behind the scenes" tax office support ever! Tricia processes (checks, prints and assembles) approximately 1,500 tax returns each tax season. All this work, and she still has time for a smile and a chat with the office's clients.
